Vera Molnar-inspired Creative Coding Series
Vera Molnar (1924–2023) was a pioneering figure in generative and algorithmic art, known for her early adoption of computers as a creative tool. Her work explored the balance between order and randomness, using simple geometric forms and systematic variations to create dynamic compositions. As one of the first artists to embrace computational aesthetics, Molnar's approach continues to influence contemporary digital art.
Inspired by her methodologies, this project explores coding as an artistic practice using JavaScript in Processing. Through algorithmic design, I experiment with structured randomness, repetition, and transformation to generate visual compositions. This project not only deepened my understanding of computational thinking and Java’s code structure but also demonstrated how code can be a powerful medium for creative expression.
